I, IN THE PLURAL

I, IN THE PLURAL is a series of 21 staged self-portraits in which I explore identity as something I continually construct and transform. My body becomes both the material and the subject of these images. Theatrical light, colour, objects and gestures allow me to move between vulnerability, absurdity and self-irony.

Drawing on my experience in lighting design and scenography, I build each photograph as a scene in which I am both performer and image-maker.

The gallery below presents a selection from the series.
