PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

Extensive professional experience in lighting design and scenography for theatre and live events, with additional work in video design, technical production and theatre technology planning.

Collaborations with institutional and independent theatres and cultural organisations in Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Austria and Germany.

Work across drama, opera, ballet, performance and events, including the adaptation of spaces for theatrical presentation.

PHOTOGRAPHY

2017–present — Photographic practice

Initially focused on documenting theatre productions in which he participated as a designer. His practice subsequently expanded into portrait, documentary, concert, event and fashion photography.

His current artistic focus is staged conceptual photography and performative self-portraiture, drawing on his professional experience with light, scenography and the performing body.

CURRENT ARTISTIC PROJECT

I, IN THE PLURAL

An ongoing series of staged photographic self-portraits exploring identity, ageing, bodily vulnerability and transformation through theatrical light, colour, constructed objects, gesture and self-irony.

The project encompasses individual photographs, sequences and triptychs, with an approach to exhibition that considers the relationship between images, scale and space.
